REGION

Wednesday: Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Himachal. Rainfall occurred at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Nadaun 6; Bhuntar, Rampur, Berthin, RL-1700 (Sutlej & Beas catchment area) Sujanpur Tira and Guler 2 each and Nangal Dam, Shimla, Sundernagar, Nahan Pandoh, Sunni, Kasol and Nagrota Surian one each.

Night temperature fell largely in Punjab, fell markedly in Haryana and changed little in Haryana and normal in rest of the area. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.9°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast: Moderate to rather heavy rain or snow is likely at many places in Himachal. Light temperature rain is likely to occur at a few places in Haryana and Punjab.
