Dance contest on Siti Channel

CHANDIGARH, Oct 24 — A television programme titled 'Jhankar', a musical dance competition, was launched today by Acme Films International at a press conference in Sector 37. The programme to be screened on all Siti Channels in the northern region will go on air in the first week of November.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Anoop Kumar Parshar, producer of this programme, said this musical dance competition had been introduced to spot the hidden talent in children of Punjab. First seven episodes of this serial have all been shot at Bal Bhawan in Sector 23.

Mr Parshar added that 'Jhankar' had also got the approval of 'Lashkara' channel which would feature this programme under the title 'Dhol Bajda', besides Punjabi Channel.

'Jhankar' has been directed by Kulwant Gill and Harjit Masuta. Tarun Mehta and Rajiv Manocha are production managers of this serial. The programme will be hosted by Pankaj and Sandeep.
