2 Manipur officials survive blast IMPHAL, Oct 9 (UNI) Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Board C. Dongel and his son Christopher, who is Commandant of First Manipur Rifles Battalion, escaped unhurt when a powerful bomb exploded on the main road at Telipatti here this morning. Two Manipur Rifles personnel and as many civilians were injured in the blast, the police said adding that the Dongels were attacked when they were travelling in a car. No underground organisation has so far claimed responsibility for the attempt. The day, however, coincides with the Raising Day of the Peoples Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak. 11 burnt to death 7 ultras killed |
