Sushmita
dazzles
By Madhur

SUSHMITA SEN is creating a tidal
wave in Bollywood. Videos from two songs of her
forthcoming films have set the small screen afire.
Hopefully the same will happen on the silver screen as
well.
According to sensational
Sen, she is not "either making a special appearance
in these two movies" and nor is she "playing
the vamp." Then, why do the promos give the
impression that she is?
Sushmita pouts and
shrugs her shapely shoulders. "Look, I dont
really have to clarify or explain myself to anyone.
Instead, Id suggest that the curious ones should
book their tickets well in advance for the first day,
first show... so that they can see my performance".
Something
amiss?
When ZEE Premiere
magazine was launched, everybody in Bollywood raised
their brows wondering whether the market could take
another film magazine. Priced at an ambitious Rs 50 (When
the other competitiors sell at less than half the price,
it appeared to be a very dicey proposition.
It seems something is
already amiss. Editor Rauf Ahmed is reportedly trying his
level best to keep the publication afloat. Having been
sacked from the editorship of Screen, Premiere is
perhaps his last chance to remain in the top echelons
of Bollywoods fourth estate.
Another
one!
No less a conglomerate
than Tata Donnelley is all set to bring out
"Indias first genuine audio video
magazine". Under the auspices of its "Special
Interest Publications", the company plans to publish
a journal that will have incisive and in-depth coverage
of the music and video entertainment world.
