Missing the Diwali warmth
With Diwali knocking on our doors, many Punjabi actor-singers are far away from home, completing projects or performing at concerts, skipping the festivities back home. Check out how they plan to make up for their absence back home
Excitement and fanfare is only gaining momentum; friends and family members are zeroing in on places to shop, gifts to buy and contemplating on makeovers at various ends, changing the look of the house, of the wardrobe, of the cutlery and much more. While everyone is warming up to Diwali festivities, more than a dozen Punjabi singer-actors are running back-to-back for their live shows abroad, and can't possibly make it home for Diwali. This essentially means missing out on the entire hullabaloo, more than that, it means being away from home on the festival. Even though they would be doing their bit to cheer up their spirits, it would still feel lonely, wouldn't it?

Inseparable lovebirds

Often, when a problem affects many, it transforms into an issue, and though many have advocated for the best way of solving an issue is to discuss, there are others, who dwell on taking actions. We for We, a non-government organisation (NGO) that is popular among the people of various countries, believes in ideating and finding a solution to a problem; and that too from the grass-root level.

Stirring with strings
Abhay Rustam Sopori Santoor happened early on. Early enough to be called a part of the subconscious. So much so that Abhay Rustum Sopori doesn't remember first picking up the instrument; he only recalls first playing it. "My earliest memory is of me sitting in my father's lap and playing the instrument. I must have been between three or four or probably even younger. That's all I remember, apart from the fact that I have played it ever since," shares Abhay, while in Chandigarh for Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2014.
