Punjab Govt okays nearly 50% cut in property tax
Chandigarh, September 23
The Punjab Government on Tuesday slashed the property tax by almost 50 per cent. All residential and commercial properties, including rented ones, will have to pay almost half the tax they paid last year. The state government will now be collecting around Rs 250 crore as property tax.

White tiger mauls 20-yr-old to death at Delhi zoo
New Delhi, September 23
A 20-year-old youth was mauled to death by a white tiger inside the animal’s enclosure at the National Zoological Park on Tuesday. The boy has been identified as Maqsood. He was a resident of central Delhi’s Anand Parbat locality.
