Village evacuated in Maharashtra in anticipation of landslide
Ambegaon, Aug 04 (ANI): The government of Maharashtra evacuated a village anticipating landslide, considering the deadly disaster in Malin district of the state that claimed more than 90 human lives. The decision was taken up with the aim of preventing further loss of human lives in the disaster prone areas.



Arrest of Indian officials in Glasgow draws flak from political leaders
New Delhi, Aug 04 (ANI): The arrest of Indian sports officials in Glasgow, where Commonwealth Games were held, has drawn flak from the political leaders. NCP leader Majid Memon said that Indian officials misbehaving abroad spoiled the image of the country and tainted the fame of sportspersons who earned good name for India abroad through their medals.



PM Modi visits Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal
Kathmandu, Aug 04 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two day official visit to Nepal, visited Lord Pashupatinath Temple on Monday to offer his prayers. The temple was on high security alert and special arrangements were made for Modi at the temple. In addition to this, he will be meeting Nepal's President Ram Baran Yadav and other leaders of the different political parties in Nepal before leaving for India. Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to undertake a bilateral visit to Nepal in 17 years.



Politicos react as Gwalior additional judge quits accusing sexual harassment by MP HC judge
New Delhi, Aug 4 (ANI): An additional judge in Gwalior resigned alleging sexual harassment by a judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court. In her complaint to Chief Justice of India R M Lodha and Supreme Court judges Justices H L Dattu, T S Thakur, Anil R Dave, Dipak Misra and Arun Misra, as well as the MP HC chief justice, she said the administrative judge sent her a message through the district registrar to "perform dance on an item song" at a function in his residence but she excused herself saying it was her daughter’s birthday.



Govt to hold talks with all parties over Insurance Bill
New Delhi, Aug 04 (ANI): The BJP government on Monday called for a meeting with all political parties in order to hold discussion on Insurance Bill which may be presented in the Parliament on Tuesday. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the government is trying to improve the nation’s financial condition which is why they have introduced 49% FDI in Insurance.
