IEW-2014 in Goa endorses ethnic dresses from across world
Goa, Mar 12 (ANI): Ethnic dresses became the latest fashion in the new language of trade talks as traders from both India and Pakistan participated with enthusiasm, varied collections and encouraging trends in the ongoing International Ethnic Week (IEW) in Goa. The IEW-2014 began on Sunday in Goa where more than 1,000 traders indulged in the business-to-business (B2B) conferences against the backdrop of fashion shows displaying various ethnic wear brands.
Abhishek Manu Singhvi applauds SC's direction on tainted lawmakers
New Delhi, Mar 12 (ANI): Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi applauded the direction of Supreme Court that set a deadline for lower courts to complete trials of lawmakers and legislators, involved in criminal offences, within a year. The SC directed that trial in all the criminal offences involving lawmakers and legislatures should be concluded by holding it on a day-to-day basis.
US targets business-to-business alliance with India, to hold talks on civil nuclear liability
New Delhi, Mar 12 (ANI): Secretary of US Department of Energy, Ernest Moniz, said private sector and business-to-business collaborations with India are nation’s primary focus, while addressing a conference in New Delhi. Moniz is on an official visit to India to resume Indo-US energy dialogue, which was postponed after tension over the arrest and strip search of female diplomat in New York, Devyani Khobragade, suspected of visa fraud in December last year.
Congress on Mamata Banerjee’s rally with Anna
New Delhi, Mar 12 (ANI): As West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is all set to join election rally with social activist Anna Hazare at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan today, the Congress said that Anna has changed his position of not endorsing any political party and therefore is loosing credibility. The party leaders also added that the Trinamool Congress does not have any political image in Delhi.
