Rahul Gandhi meets minority representatives ahead of LS polls
New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi interacted with over 200 representatives from different minority communities, where he stressed on the need to instill a sense of security and fearlessness among all sections of society. Gandhi had earlier met the representatives of tribal, Dalits and OBC (Other Backward Class) on December 13. Speaking of the lack of leadership, Gandhi said there should be representatives from minority groups to present their issues in the state assemblies and the Lok Sabha.



Resolving diplomatic crisis with US top priority: Khurshid
New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): In the wake of diplomatic spat over the arrest of Devyani Kohobragade in New York, Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said that the government’s priority is to resolve the crisis with the US. Speaking to a reporter, Khurshid refused to give a timeframe as to when the spat would be resolved. Even as the US remains reluctant to drop visa fraud charges against Kohobragade, the Indian diplomat on Monday got accreditation from the UN in her current posting at India's permanent mission paving the way for full immunity after acknowledgement from the state department.



Mulayam Singh Yadav takes jibe at Congress
Lucknow, Dec 24 (ANI): Samajwadi party (SP) President Mulayam Singh Yadav took a jibe at the Congress party over the Lokpal Bill, which he claims would lead to anarchy and was passed just to divert the attention of the voters ahead of the upcoming general elections. The Congress party, which suffered a big loss in assembly elections in four key states, and was faced with allegations of pervasive culture of corruption rushed through the Lokpal Bill in the parliament. Yadav dismissed all accusations of neglect towards the Muzaffarnagar riot victims living in the relief camps.
