Supreme Court pronounces gay sex illegal
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): In a major setback for the largely closeted homosexual community in India, the Supreme Court on Wednesday said that gay sex between consenting adults is a criminal offence. The apex court set aside the Delhi High Court's 2009 judgement that homosexuality should not be treated as a criminal offence, which had been challenged by anti-gay rights activists, social and religious organizations.



Telangana Bill yet to be sent to the assembly
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said on Tuesday that the Telangana Bill, which was recently approved by the Cabinet and was supposed to be referred to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly by the President, has not been sent to the assembly as yet.



Re-elections only alternative for Delhi: Kalraj Mishra
Lucknow, Dec 11 (ANI): With the continuing reluctance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to stake a claim to form a government in Delhi, the national capital seemed headed for President’s Rule and a subsequent re-election in a few months. Senior BJP leader Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday said that the BJP does not want to form a government as it is short of four seats to claim majority and does not want to indulge in horse-trading.



Narayanasamy blames media for country's woes; Kirti Azad condemns
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): BJP leader Kirti Azad on Wednesday slammed Minister of state in the Prime Minister's Office, V Narayanasamy for his comment that media is corrupt. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, he also took a jibe at Congress and said that party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has rightly accepted the fact that the Congress will lose in the upcoming 2014 general elections and BJP will form the Government.



Aamir is the finest actor the country has, says Shah Rukh Khan
New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels Aamir Khan is the finest actor and an inspiration for the kind of work he has done in 'Dhoom 3'. "He is the finest actor the country has. For his role in 'Dhoom 3' he required that kind of body. He does some trapeze work in the film... For him to work out that way it is fantastic and inspiring," Shah Rukh said at a recent event.
