Top MHA officials visit Manipur to resolve border fencing issue
Manipur, Dec 09 (ANI): A delegation of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) visited Manipur in a bid to resolve the border fencing row with neighbouring Myanmar. According to the claims of Manipur Government, the border fencing in the State was indeed taking place well within the Indian Territory and had provided an opportunity to the neighbouring country to grab a large part of the same. The delegates inspected various disputed pillars at the border in Moreh town where they conducted a spot verification of the fencing work. Speaking to media persons, Joint Secretary of MHA in north east, Shambhu Singh, who was part of the delegation, said that a joint verification of the spot by both the countries can solve the problem.
Indian Navy showcase its prowess at sea
Kochi, Dec 09 (ANI): Hundreds of people watched awe-inspiring Indian Navy exercise off the southern coast of Kochi. Landing of a helicopter on a moving warship, firing of weapons, special operations by the marine commandos from air and water and a fly past by fighter aircrafts were some of the special features of the event. Indian Navy officer, Captain Sandeep Sandhu, said it was a rare sight for the general public. Newly inducted Fast Interceptor Craft were also fielded to demonstrate its capabilities in coastal security and force protection.
We will not form coalition government: Kirti Azad
New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): BJP leader Kirti Azad on Monday congratulated AAP and its Convener Arvind Kejriwal on his victory and said that they have performed well at their first attempt. Asked about any possibility of shaking hands with AAP, Azad said that his party will not form government as his party does not want coalition Government.
