Singh Saab in city
Actor Sunny Deol is all set to rock with what he knows the best, to play a Sardar…
At times in the beginning of an interview with a celebrity, one can anticipate where it might head towards. If it will be all about questions-and-their-monosyllable-answers, questions-and-well-thought-answers or a rare chance, where in an interview paves way for discussion. On the sunny Sunday in Chandigarh, Sunny Deol creates that rare chance and talks about everything under the sun, from the much-hyped film he recently watched, his upcoming project, Singh Saab The Great, his son raring to make a debut in Bollywood, the industry's graduation from 100 to 200 club….as we say, everything under the sun.
Once again action-packed
The dhai kilo ka haath will be seen doing what it does best. This time it's a peeple tree that replaces the hand pump (in
Gadar, Ek Prem Katha) to beat the daylights out of his enemies .
On a serious note
A few months back, the name Binnu Dhillon was 'omnipresent' in every Punjabi film. No comedy film would actually hit the screen without this actor. Then one fine day, quiet distressed seeing the present day scenario in Punjabi films, Binnu decided to pull back and take it easy; a conscious decision that the actor took for the betterment of his craft. "And for the cinema," he laughs.
Binnu Dhillon, who has worked in quite a few Punjabi films, is not very happy with the overkill of comedy in Punjabi cinema.
Change for good: Binnu Dhillon
Voice to reckon with
Singer Rabbi Shergill is different. And he has no qualms in accepting the fact…
It would take the best of the 'peeler' to scrape the finest. As for singer Rabbi Shergill, any ordinary gadget cannot dig into him. Even the finest, mostly intricately carved questions cannot hit him. In short, in strict official language, you cannot expect sufficient dope from Rabbi
Shergill! There is always something lurking behind his answer…until you take all the pain to find out 'what', you wouldn't ever know. So, you gather what you see.
Up for the cause
Through all the seventy poems in her book, Neeljal Ki Sonmachliyan, Punita Bawa has aimed to highlight the cause of women in our society. She wants them to know their rights, raise their voice in case they are deprived of them but at the same time Punita has made sure that her poetry doesn't instigate women. "For that will make matters worse. Women are the binding force in a family. They can put pressure on men to do their duty but must do their own as well. And fighting is certainly not a solution," says Punita, who is a lecturer by profession.

Girl uninterrupted!
High heels seem to have taken a toll on Neha Dhupia's feet but the Bollywood actress walked the ramp despite her injury. The 33-year-old actress turned showstopper for designer Rocky S at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and looked every bit regal in a shimmery black leather gown.

stress buster
Key to a happy you…
''I am so bored, what should I do,'' this is a constant lament from a client of mine, "there seems to be no excitement in life, I'm not even looking forward to anything in particular, do you think I'm depressed…'' It's not only him there's a whole lot of us going through this experience, nothing in life seems to excite them any more, it is like ''I've been there done that and now what'' situation. Whether it is boredom, depression or is it really a time for finding a new direction.

Tangy treat
Orange belongs to the family of citrus fruits. Delicious and juicy, oranges contain an impressive list of essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The fruit is low in calories and contains no saturated fats or cholesterol, but is rich in dietary fiber, which is very effective in persons with excess body weights. It also works as an antioxidant and is even good for skin. The tangy taste and the beautiful colour make it a 'must use' ingredient for classy desserts.

Astro Turf
ARIES: "Two of Cups" suggests that romance will be on your mind. You might have to cancel a proposed trip to avoid friction tonight. A minor incident can have dramatic effects.
Punit Malhotra: Karan Johar is like a father figure
Punit Malhotra's second film for Dharma Productions, Gori Tere Pyar Mein will release on November 22. The young director talks about his mentor Karan Johar and more.
The title
I know the title sounds pretty outdated but Karan suggested it and it has relevance to the story as you will see. The first half is a light romantic comedy and the second half is where a lot of transformation happens. Yes, the story sounds nothing new but the presentation is fresh and entertaining.
On Karan Johar
He and I have a paternal connection. He has known me for more than a decade and I have assisted him on many of his films like Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kabhie Alvida Naa Kehna. He had told me to make a movie for him and now I love doing that. I can talk to him about anything.
People's person
Karan Johar is very comfortable with attention. He is very sociable and very few people can handle crowds the way he does. He genuinely enjoys it. He knows the reach he has.
On Gutka
Gutka is a complete drama film that I am making for Dharma with Akshay Kumar. It is very different from what I have done so far. I have a big filmy keeda and my uncle Manish Malhotra is my first filmy influence. I am here because of him. I wanted to become an actor but I am too busy directing now so maybe in the future, if Karan wants, I will act in a film for Dharma.
