BHOLA’S DRUG RING Aman Sood Tribune News Service Banur/Patiala, November 16 The police investigations into the synthetic drug racket has also uncovered an illegal weapons supply racket in which small arms smuggled from across the border were sold to unsuspecting buyers as legitimate Indian weapons through the connivance of arms dealers and some officials of the arms licensing branches. “Four small weapons including three 0.30 bore pistols and one 0.32 bore pistol have been recovered”, said Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police Hardyal Mann. Bhola’s associate, Baljinder Singh, a resident of village Pandori Gola, Tarn Taran was the kingpin of the weapon supply racket. Baljinder Singh headed a group of desperate smugglers who was in touch with Pakistan-based arms and drugs smugglers and was instrumental in obtaining several consignments of contrabands and arms from across the border.
