As Anuradha Thakur, a Maharashtra-based artist, exhibits her paintings at the Government Museum and Art Gallery, titled Realms of Ethnicity, she visits the roots of Indian culture and traditions, especially those of the tribesmen. The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the Department of Culture, UT Administration, Chandigarh. Anuradha's sensitivity dwells upon the idea of simplicity, evokes the state of contentment which is inherent to the tribal traditions and culture. "Even when I was in college, I was actively involved with various NGOs and would often visit the tribal areas," begins Anuradha, who welcomes us with a warm smile.
