Sushmita (L) and Debopriya The 36th Chandigarh Sangeet Sammelan is being organised by the Indian National Theatre (INT) from October 25 to 27, 2013, at the Bal Bhawan—23, Chandigarh. The Indian National Theatre President, N Khosla, informed that the annual Sangeet Sammelan will witness performances by renowned artists. The first evening will have a flute recital by Debopriya Chatterjee and her sister Sushmita Archarya (both disciples of the legendary Hari Prasad Chaurasia), followed by Ranjani Ramachandran, a well-known vocalist from Pune and disciple of the well-known Veena Sahastrabudhe and Pt Ulhas Kashalkar.

A happening Thursday

Sports Bar & Grill—Underdoggs, organised an exciting party—Thirsty Thursday Girls Night Out, to announce the entry of the trendy party concept in Chandigarh's night life circuit. The party was sporty, racy and happening. A major attraction for the girls partying was the wide and special cocktail menu which was tailor-made to suit the theme of the celebration.

A progressive step
The Jaipur Art Summit, a multihued palette of colour, form and texture opens in the Pink City from November 7 - 11. It is a joint effort of the Progressive Artists Group (PAG) of Rajasthan and other likeminded artists of the state to lend contemporary Indian Art a centre-stage in this city. The festival will include a large gamut of artwork in different mediums.
