Nandini Vaid, actor of “Horror Story” in Ludhiana Would love to do Punjabi movies: Nandini
Ludhiana, September 15
Actor Nandini Vaid, who has made her debut with “Horror Story”, was in the city today. The actor, while talking about her debut movie that was released recently, said she would like to do a Punjabi movie if a good script comes her way. “Punjabi cinema is up and, if offered a good script, I will like to do Punjabi movies,” she said. Her co-actor in her first movie Karan Kundra has also done Punjabi movies.

Ludhiana, September 15
The 3rd sub-national immunisation campaign kicked off here today. District immunisation officer Dr Sanjeev Hans said: “As many as 1,65,767 houses were visited today and about 80,514 children up to 5 years’ of age were vaccinated.” The Health Department has a target of administering pulse polio drops to as many as 3,85,000 children in five days. There are 1,587 teams of volunteers having 3,174 volunteers. As many as 7,10,000 houses will be covered as the teams will go from door to door for administering these drops.

Union felicitates schoolteachers
Ludhiana, September 15
The Recognised and Affiliated Schools Union (RASA) held a brief function here yesterday to honour the teachers who have put in efforts to improve the results of their respective schools. Sore over the apathetic attitude of the state government towards the teachers, the union said though the department had claimed that teachers would be honoured once the minister was back from his overseas visit, none of the teachers had been given any intimation by the department in this regard so far.

The city police has booked eight persons who had gatecrash a party taking place at a marriage palace in the Jawaddi area and assaulted the disco jockey (DJ) and the manager. A case has been registered on the complaint of Kamaljit Singh, a resident of Passi Nagar.
