Abohar Chandigarh Eight IGPs, two DIGs transferred: The state government on Friday transferred eight IGPs and two DIGs. Arun Kumar Oraon has been posted the IGP, Community Policing; Kuldeep Singh IG, Training; RP Mittal IG, Training Armed Battalions; Pramod Ban IG-cum-Director, Special Security Group; Gautam Cheema IG/CDO, Bahadurgarh; Surinder Singh IG, IVC; Paramraj Singh IGP, Jalandhar (Zone II) and Tejinderpal Singh IGP, EOW. Lok Nath has been made the DIG, Border Range, Amirtsar, and Gurinder Singh Dhillon the DIG, Jalandhar range. 10 zones for drug licences: The Punjab Government will establish 10 zones in the state for issuing licences for the sale of restricted drugs in the state. A spokesperson said the state government had taken this decision under the Drug and Cosmetic Rules 1945 and a notification had also been issued. The zones will be established at Amritsar, Ajitgarh, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Patiala, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur and Gurdaspur. Charas seized:The Chandigarh Police arrested
