22-year-old photojournalist gangraped in Mumbai
Mumbai, Aug 23 (ANI):
A 22-year-old photography intern with a magazine was allegedly raped by at least three among a group of five men in at isolated mill area in Mumbai. The girl, an intern with an English lifestyle magazine, went to a mill in South Mumbai, which had been closed for several years, with a male colleague for a photography assignment. Her male friend was beaten up and pinned down by two gang members while the girl was raped. The girl was admitted to a hospital, where Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil visited her.



Iraqi PM accorded ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan
New Delhi, Aug 23 (ANI):
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who is on a four-day state visit to India, was given a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here this morning. He was received by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. He inspected the guard of honour and also met members of the Indian Cabinet. Nouri al-Maliki, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials and industrialists, will call on President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari.



Anil Kapoor unveils his 1st television series ‘24’
Mumbai, Aug 24 (ANI):
Bollywood actor-producer Anil Kapoor unveiled the first look of his much-hyped television series "24" in Mumbai. The '24' is a suspense drama series based on an American series. The promo showcases brilliant actors such as Anupam Kher and Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Rahul Khanna and Mandira Bedi. Anil spoke about how did he come up with the idea. He would be seen playing the lead role of ATU chief Jai Singh Rathod. The series would narrate character's 24-hour life in real time in 24 episodes. The series would start from October this year on 'Colours' channel.
