Chinese Premier hopes India-China increase mutual strategic trust
New Delhi, May 20 (ANI): Ahead of the formal talks with his Indian counterpart, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Speaking to the press in presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Chinese Premier thanked his hosts for the warm reception.
Locals in Northern India face brunt of scorching heat
Allahabad/Amritsar, May 20 (ANI): Soaring temperatures and heat wave gripped North India, as the locals tried to beat it by drinking fluids and tried to cover themselves as they drove their vehicles. The effect of the rising temperatures was visible in Allahabad when scores of people turned up to take bath at the Ganges River to beat the heat. For most of the people gathered, taking a bath in the cool river waters was a way to escape from the electricity and water shortage that Allahabad is currently facing.
