Fashion designing student ends life
Ludhiana, April 15
A 22-year-old fashion designing student committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her hostel room on the campus of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Model Town last night.

Linesman dies of burn injuries
Ludhiana, April 15
In a shocking accident, an assistant linesman died after a line-breaker at 66 KV power grid at Phase VII in Focal Point exploded today. The incident took place around 2.30 pm. The deceased, Laxman Singh, was a resident of Ballo Ke Road, Haibowal. "The breaker developed a snag. When Laxman went to fix it, it exploded." Laxman suffered 100 per cent burns. He died on the spot. The police reached the spot and started investigations.
