India is bursting with dreams and fearless ideas: Rahul Gandhi
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday addressed top industrialists at a gathering of the Confederation of Indian Industry in New Delhi. Asserting that the nation is bursting with dreams and fearless ideas Gandhi said that the spirit of the people of India is energetic and optimistic. Gandhi, who spelt out his vision for economic growth of the country, said India is home to the largest pool of human capital the world has ever known and probably will ever know.



Maoist attack village council building in Jharkhand 
In a bid to infuse fear among locals, Maoists triggered a blast on the building of a village council in Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. The moderate-intensity blast damaged most parts of the building; however there were no reports of any casualty. A warning letter written by the rebels was also found by locals at the blast site. Locals residing in the area said that they heard a loud blast in the night.



US to send missile defences to Guam over North Korea threat 
The United States has said that it would soon send a missile defense system to Guam to defend it from North Korea, as the US military adjusts to what Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel called a "real and clear danger" from Pyongyang. Hours later, a South Korean news agency said North Korea had moved what appeared to be a mid-range Musudan missile to its east coast. It was not clear if the North planned to fire the rocket or was just putting it on display as a show of force.
