35-year-old raped at Pinjore
Panchkula: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a taxi driver at Pinjore on Saturday evening, the police said. She had hired the taxi to go home.

A surprise inspection was conducted at the District Courts Complex in Sector 43 by Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge TPS Mann today. Justice TPS Mann took a round of the entire complex, including the courtrooms and the service block.

Tricycles and wheelchairs were distributed among 25 differently abled persons at a camp during a national workshop on disability through the lens of art and culture organised by the Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies in Sector 26. A souvenir was also released on the day. Experts said the motive behind providing these devices to the differently abled was to facilitate their physical mobility and routine activities.

A security guard of a private company died in an accident at Singhpura T-point near Zirakpur. The deceased was identified as 36- year-old Bora Singh, hailing from UP.

2-day remand for two
Mohali, March 23
The two accused arrested in the Punjab School Education Board’s fake certificates racket were remanded in two-day police custody today.
The two, Kulwant Singh Multani and Gaurav Narula, were produced in court this evening. The Mohali police demanded their remand on the plea that they wanted to interrogate them to get details of their accomplices and clients.
