Tribune celebrates Founder’s Day

Chandigarh, February 2
Floral tributes were paid to Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia on the 132th Founder’s Day of The Tribune Group of Newspapers today.

Justice SS Sodhi, former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, and President of The Tribune Trust, Lt Gen SS Mehta (retd), a Tribune Trustee, Raj Chengappa, Editor-in-Chief, and Sanjay Hazari, General Manager, led employees of The Tribune, Punjabi Tribune and Dainik Tribune in paying tributes to Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia at The Tribune complex this morning.

Among others who paid tributes included Varinder Singh Walia and Santosh Tewari, Editors, Punjabi Tribune and Dainik Tribune, respectively, and senior editorial and administrative staff.

A great visionary, Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia played an important role in spreading education and knowledge. He was the brain behind promoting and establishing many institutions, including Punjab National Bank and Panjab University. He was a great philanthropist and social reformer.
