Five killed in accidents

Hoshiarpur, November 1
Four persons were killed in four road accidents in the district in the last 24 hours.

According to the police, Balwinder Singh died, while his friend Harpreet Singh got injured when a tractor hit the motorcycle on which they were going from Mukerian to Mansar near the Ghanna Rai crossing last evening. Both were resident of Harsa Mansar.

Bikramjit Singh of Chak Alla Baksh died when some unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle he was riding on at the Pawara crossing.

Gurpreet Singh of Ambota (HP) was killed when the vehicle he was riding on hit a JCB machine while saving a calf on the Tanda road last evening. He was going with his friend Narinder Singh.

Harjeet Kaur of Tibba, Gurdaspur district was killed when she was hit by a vehicle near main octroi post, Bhangala.

Nawanshahr: One person was killed and another injured in two road accidents at Rahon Road here today.

Ramandeep Singh of Ghakewal village was killed when the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a car near Begumpur village.

Sukhdyal of Mohalla Khosla, Rahon, received severe injuries when the motorcycle he was riding on had a head-on collision with a car.
