PM sends Aadhaar to ‘aam aadmi’

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh hand over the 21st crore Aadhaar card to Bali Bai, who hails from Udaipur district, at Dudu near Jaipur on SaturdayPrime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the Aadhaar-based delivery system will benefit crores of people through direct transfer of cash.

Kingfisher’s flying licence suspended
New Delhi, October 20
It seems the end of the flight for Kingfisher Airlines, at least for now. The airline’s licence to fly has been suspended till it submits “a concrete and reliable revival plan ensuring safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable services to the satisfaction of the DGCA” — a situation that at present looks doubtful, considering its current state of affairs.
