Gurgaon, September 2
Gurgaon along with Delhi and Noida has been put on high alert after national security agencies received a “credible” input that Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba plans to carry out serial blasts in region.

The Military Intelligence unit tracking Lashkar modules has alerted the authorities concerned. On Friday, at a special meeting of the Multi Agency Centre (MAC) - an umbrella group set up in the Home Ministry to share and analyse sensitive intelligence information - it was revealed that a four-member Lashkar module led by one Manzoor has sneaked into the Capital to trigger the blasts. The group has also dispatched a consignment of explosives for the National Capital Region (NCR), including Gurgaon.

The Central intelligence agencies are in touch with senior police officials of Haryana and have asked them to launch an extensive search operation.

The Gurgaon police has been told to deploy cops in plainclothes at key locations and increase security at sensitive locations. The police has been asked to issue an advisory to all residents, asking them to get their tenants verified and inform the police about any suspicious person or activity.
