The government today said in Parliament that it has agreed in-principle to deregulate diesel prices, but did not provide any timeline for its implementation.

SC extends 2G auction deadline only till Aug 31 
New Delhi, April 24
The Supreme Court today extended by 90 days the deadline for auctioning the 122 2G Spectrum licences it had cancelled on February 2. Auctioning will now have to be completed by August 31 instead of June 2.

This will be Ban’s third visit to India after he took over as the head of the world body in 2007.

Norway custody row ends, kids back in India with their uncle
New Delhi, April 24
The two NRI children separated from their parents in Norway on grounds of negligence Aishwarya and Abhigyan on their arrival at New Delhi’s IGI Airport returned home today after a Stavanger court yesterday announced its verdict, giving their custody to their uncle. They later headed for Kolkata.
