The US announcement of $10 million bounty on Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed’s head was today whole-heartedly welcomed by India, which again asked Pakistan to speedily act against the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attack.

Rs 27.94 cr for kin of 1,513 youths killed during Punjab militancy
New Delhi, April 3
Years after militancy was crushed in Punjab, justice has been done to the families of youths who were picked up by the police, killed and cremated in gross violation of human rights. Closing the 16-year-old Punjab mass cremation case which involved the killing of youths in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Majithia districts of the state, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today awarded a compensation of Rs 27.94 crore to the families of 1,513 victims

The Ropar administration continued to carry out raids against those involved in illegal mining for the second consecutive day today and registered 12 fresh FIRs. While 10 persons were arrested, 29 stone crushers, which were operating without permission, were sealed.

Bhubaneswar, April 3
Abductors of BJD legislator Jhina Hikaka today fixed April 5 as the deadline for fulfilment of their demands and rejected the Odisha government's invitation for talks, a day after a similar threat was issued by another Maoist group holding an Italian hostage. In an audio message to a section of media, Andhra-Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee of Maoists asked the Odisha government to fulfil their demands
