Hot & Hospitable
The hospitality industry was at its best in 2011. Chandigarh saw the opening of three big hotels, a host of lounges as well as restaurants, in addition to the old ones re-inventing themselves

Did we maintain the tempo set in the previous year? We went a little easy on the lounges, added three new hotels, did a little re-jig with the restaurants and there you go with the latest count being twelve! Come January, come June, each month the hospitality guys were busy dishing out an option for hanging out. To cut the long story short, hospitality in Chandigarh was happening and for real. First things first — we had the likes of Girl in The Café and Hot Millions’ venture High Point enter the hospitality scene. Girl in the Café with its central location, amazing outdoor seating ensured that the city’s affair with gourmet cafes continues.
