A new twist to an old story
Rewind to the 1962 classic Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam—the victimised wife takes to drinking to provide company to her adulterous husband. Now, to the 2011 adaptation of the classic, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster—the wife is no more a victim. She is aggressive, ambitious, has a streak of madness, and is capable of cheating on her husband. Same rules apply to both sexes. So, on the one hand Sahib (Jimmy Shergill) goes around with other women, considering it as his birthright, on the other hand, Biwi (Mahie Gill) pledges to avenge betrayal, even better, uses a naïve gangster (Randeep Hooda), who falls madly in love with her.
