Gone are the days when having a star to perform at one’s own function was considered happening; what’s in is taking to the stage on one’s own self! Singing; dancing on weddings and others celebrations have been part and parcel of Indian life, especially Punjab.

Wrong number!
The joke lies in the irony. Three years back, city-based businessman Jagpreet Singh bought a VIP phone number ending with 001 for Rs 1.25 lakh. The same number he dreads to switch on now…for when he does that, a deluge of calls follow and each caller asks for Amitabh Bachchan! It all began post the September 12 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati when the celebrity host casually announced nine digits on the national TV and asked people to guess the last digit of the phone number.
