New Delhi/Kolkata, Sept 12
Investigators probing the last Wednesday’s Delhi High Court blast case have made some progress and slowly the links are being pieced together. A final matrix is emerging that could not only solve the recent case, but also help in cracking the Mumbai blasts case of July 13.

Sources said emails had been traced and few links and leads emerged. The leads, so far, had been promising and the case might be solved with ample evidence linking each of the suspects to the blasts. A senior functionary said the probe into the case was linking to other cases also.

Even as a probe is on, the National Capital has been put on high alert as the third anniversary of the 2008 Delhi serial blasts falls tomorrow. Moreover, tomorrow is Tuesday, the day predicted by one of the four threatening emails as the day of the next attack.

The threat to launch next attack on Tuesday was issued in an email sent from chotoominani5@gmail.com. It was sent by a person who said the Indian Mujahideen had carried out the blasts. He identified himself as “Chotoo”. “Chotoo” sent another email on Friday night. In that, he had challenged the NIA and the Delhi Police to trace the emails.

The first email was sent by a Kishtwar youth who claimed that HuJI had carried out the blasts. Sources said investigators had brought hard disks of the computers of the cyber cafe in Kishtwar to Delhi for forensic examination to find out whether the time settings of any the computer were changed before sending the e-mail.

Meanwhile, in a countrywide manhunt, a Pakistan-born Hizb activist was arrested last night from Siliguri. Another person was picked up from Malda.
