Raja claims PM was in loop about 2G deals
New Delhi, July 25
DMK MP and former Telecom Minister A Raja, who is facing corruption charges in the multi-crore 2G Spectrum allocation scam, today hit back at the Central Government and told a city court that the issue of sale of equity by the Spectrum licencees was discussed with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram. He said Chidambaram told the Prime Minister that the dilution of shares by the accused licencees to attract foreign direct investment did not amount to sale of licence.
