Heavily taxed industry awaits breather

The Central Budget has failed to live up to the expectations of the industry, especially with the levy of central excise duty. After receiving no incentives and funds in the central Budget, the local industry has pinned its hopes on the Punjab Budget, to be presented by finance minister Upinderjit Kaur on March 14. The industry expects the finance minister to announce some funds and grants for its upgrade.

Minor girl falls

42-yr-old killed in road accident
