army commits to civilian rule, treaties

Egypt's new military rulers told the nation today that they were
committed to civilian rule after the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak and said
they would respect all treaties, a move to reassure Israel and the
United States.Pro-democracy activists in Cairo's Tahrir (Liberation)
Square, the epicentre of an earthquake of popular protest that unseated
Mubarak, have vowed to stay there until the Higher Military Council

Arrest warrant against Musharraf in Benazir case
An Anti-Terrorism Court
(ATC) in Rawalpindi today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former military ruler Gen Pervaz Musharraf in Benazir Bhutto assassination case.
The move comes days after Musharraf was declared an accused in the
interim chargesheet submitted by the prosecution in the case.
