4 employees of oil company abducted

Guwahati, December 6
Four employees of Indian Oil Tanking (Private) Limited, a sub-contractor of a public sector oil company, were abducted by suspected Dimasa National Liberation Front (DNLF) militants from Manja village under Langting Police Station in Dima Hasao hill district of Assam yesterday.

Superintendent of Police VK Ramisetti said the abducted persons were identified as Sontosh Ashok Raichandra (24) of Maharashtra, Wilfred Terki (37) of Orissa, Ranjit Das of Jorhat, Assam, and Bardap of Maharashtra. The abductors later released Bardap while the other three are still in their clutches. It was learnt that the company was served with a demand of Rs 1 crore by the DNLF.
