Justice Sen guilty, to face impeachment
New Delhi, November 10
Indicted by an inquiry committee, Justice Sen Calcutta High Court judge Soumitra Sen could become the first high court judge in the country to be impeached, provided the motion is carried by both houses of the Parliament with at least 66% of the members supporting it in each House.

Raja’s Ouster
Opposition stalls Parliament
New Delhi, November 10
Chaos returned to the Parliament today as a united Opposition forced adjournment of both the Houses for the day, seeking the removal of Union Telecom Minister A. Raja following his indictment in the 2G Spectrum scam by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
Led by the BJP and the AIADMK, the Opposition also sought a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into all the scams under the UPA Government, including 2G Spectrum, Adarsh Housing Society and the CWG.

In a move that will go a long way in encouraging ethical medical practices in India, the Medical Council of India (MCI) is mulling recommending action against Indian Medical Association (IMA) members who signed agreements with Pepsi and Dabur in 2009 undertaking to endorse their products in return for money.

Tata offers to add free fire safety device in 70k Nanos
Tata Motors today said it would ask customers to bring back their cars to add safety devices free of cost after some brand new Nanos caught fire. Insisting that it was not a “recall”, Tata said the addition of safety devices was optional. Around 70,000 Nanos are currently on the roads.

After years of wait for the Sabeer Bhatia-promoted Nanocity project to take off, the Haryana Government has now asked the company to scale down the size of the project, so that it finally takes wings. The proposal by the government was conveyed to the company last month, following which the company has now agreed to scale down the project size to almost one-third of the original.

Former US President George W. Bush writes in his new memoir of his frustration with Pakistan’s reluctance to go after militants and hints that he ordered a campaign of drone strikes in Pakistan. Bush, whose memoir “Decision Points” hit bookstores on Tuesday, said: "Over time, it became clear that (then Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf either would not or could not fulfill all of his promises."
