Rajpura, September 19
Sunday turned out to be a perfect holiday for Bacchus lovers here, as a truck loaded with over 400 boxes of beer overturned near the Ambala-Rajpura bridge today.

And what compounded the feast of the tipplers was that nobody came to claim the consignment, giving those present on the spot a chance to drink, carry home and even sell the beer bottles — of Haywards 5,000 brand.

The truck was on way to Patiala from Ambala when it overturned reportedly due to potholes on the road near the bridge at around 7 am.

Police officials said it appeared that the beer boxes were being smuggled.
