Days after two students lost their lives to speeding government vehicles in separate incidents, another young life was snuffed out this morning in Jagraon allegedly due to the negligence of Punjab Roadways staff.
Intruders rob woman of 70,000, gold rings

Three men, said to be armed, fled with Rs 70,000 in cash and two gold rings after forcibly entering a house in Guru Nanak colony in Bhamian village and reportedly assaulting a woman residing there. The incident took place at around 8:30 am when she was alone at home.

The police arrested two young men for displaying the vehicle registration number allotted to a former SAD state legislator on their car. They were reportedly caught at a security checkpost near the city bus station late last night. Beside fake documents the police also found red a beacon for the vehicle.
