Liquor seized: The Tanda police arrested Sanjiv Kumar of Santa Nagar under sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act on Tuesday night and seized illicit liquor from him. The Tanda police also arrested Rajni, resident of ward No 8 of the town, and seized illicit liquor from her.

Low water pressure: Due to urgent repair of Phase III of Kajauli waterworks being carried out by the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh, the supply of water to some parts of the town will be adversely affected. According to a press release, the water would be supplied at low pressure to Phases IX to XI, Sectors 70 and 71, Shahi Majra and Matour villages.

52 officers shifted: Haryana has issued transfer and posting orders of one IAS officer and 51 HCS officers. Wazeer Singh Goyat has been posted as ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA, Fatehabad, BB Kaushik goes as ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA, Jind, and Ashok Kumar Bishnoi will be the new ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA, Panipat.

55 boxes of drugs seized: The police has nabbed a resident of Ambala Cantonment with illegal medicines. The accused, Kamal Kishore, was arrested at Pinjore bus stand on a tip off just after he got off the bus. The police seized 55 boxes of medicines from his possession comprising of small bottles and pouches of painkillers. A case has been registered.
