Talks fail, govt steps in to resolve AI crisis
New Delhi, September 28
With the agitating executive pilots of the Air India threatening to intensify their “strike” after talks with the management failed, the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday stepped in to resolve the crisis plaguing the beleaguered national carrier.

Bodies of Shopian victims exhumed
Srinagar, September 28
Four months after their death, the bodies of Neelofar and Asiya were exhumed by a team of the CBI at Shopian town today. The exercise has been undertaken to get samples for further investigations to unravel the mystery behind the murder case. Exhumation was delayed by one day as the team of experts could not arrive here from New Delhi on Saturday due to strike by AI pilots.

Taken into custody last night for allegedly destroying evidence in the infamous Amandeep murder case, the three suspended cops, including Jammu SSP Manohar Singh, were today sent to six-day police remand by a local court here.

Beware of robbers while travelling in trains from Haryana to Delhi as they pull chain and loot passengers in moving trains. This has happened with the passengers of Himalayan Queen who were travelling from Kalka to New Delhi last night. Similar incidents have been reported in the past as well.

Rat elusive, Boeing-777 flown to Delhi for fumigation

Efforts by the Air India staff to locate in its Boeing-777 plane the rat that had led to an 11-hour delay in the airline’s Toronto-bound flight AI-187 on Saturday morning proved futile even on Monday, with the airline management finally moving the “rat-carrying” plane to New Delhi today where the aircraft would be subjected to thorough examination.
