Srinagar, June 11
Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram has asked the controlling officers of the CRPF and the Jammu and Kashmir Police to work out a strategy for the gradual substitution of the CRPF by the latter in essential duties. Chidambaram said this at the meeting of the Unified Command Headquarters, jointly presided over by him and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here today.
