The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundi 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Kupwara 1 each and West Rajasthan: Barmer and Nal 1 each. Temperature: The minimum temperatures changed little. They were largely above normal in Rajasthan, markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 5.1°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab). Forecast valid until the morning of December 19: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Outlook for the subsequent two days: Precipitation activity is likely to increase in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab with possibility of heavy rain/snow in Jammu and Kashmir.
