German’s rape accused hospitalised

One of the crime accused in the rape of a German girl, Sukhwinder, alias Sukhi, was admitted to the Government MultiSpeciality Hospital-16 after he complained of high fever here today. The doctor later diagnosed him with “chicken pox”.

Probe against cops for ‘misbehaviour’
Ambala, November 26
SP, Ambala, Sibash Kaviraj has ordered a probe against the in charge of police post No. 2 and a head constable at police lines on charges of alleged misbehaviour with a Youth Congress leader. He said he had entrusted the probe to DSP (headquarters) Bhupinder Singh and action would be taken against the policemen if the allegations were found to be true.

National School Games thrown open

National School Games, the biggest sports event of the year, began at Yadawindra Stadium here today. Around 3,000 players from 28 states are taking part in the games organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). Education secretary K.B.S. Sidhu, IAS, was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the meet after hoisting the national flag.
