The change in political reigns has failed to put the city on track to development and has made it a graveyard of foundation stones. These stones installed on every nook and corner are witness to the deceit politicians practice on residents who had given them power.

Police officers, who had expressed interest for serving in the UN peacekeeping mission, have missed their chance, thanks to the goof-up by the state home affairs and justice department. It has ignored all 37 candidates and sent a new list of 19 candidates to the ministry for the UN mission.

Rare knee surgery performed
Ludhiana, November 10
For the first time in the region, the department of orthopaedics at DMCH under the headship of Dr Mohammad Yamin performed a computer-assisted knee surgery on 55-year-old patient, hailing from Jalandhar. The surgery was performed by Dr Yamin and Dr Sanjeev Mahajan along with a team of orthopaedic surgeons.

A legal literacy seminar was orgainsed today by the District Legal Services Authority at Borstal Jail, Ludhiana, to mark the Legal Services Day. 200 examined at medical camp
