Rare knee surgery performed

For the first time in the region, the department of orthopaedics at DMCH under the headship of Dr Mohammad Yamin performed a computer-assisted knee surgery on 55-year-old patient, hailing from Jalandhar. The surgery was performed by Dr Yamin and Dr Sanjeev Mahajan along with a team of orthopaedic surgeons.

Seminar on legal literacy at Borstal Jail

A legal literacy seminar was orgainsed today by the District Legal Services Authority at Borstal Jail, Ludhiana, to mark the Legal Services Day. Jail inmates were apprised about their right of having free assistance of a lawyer at the state expenses, in order to defend their cases, if they were unable to hire the services of the lawyer.

200 examined at medical camp
