Big B hospitalised on birthday

Movie star Amitabh Bachchan was rushed to hospital after he complained of abdominal pain while meeting friends and fans on his 66th birthday today. Suspected to be suffering from hernia, the actor was first rushed to Nanavati Hospital near his house in Juhu and then to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

Eyewitnesses at the Bachchans’ residence, Jalsa, say a large number of well-wishers were gathered this morning at his residence to greet him on his birthday. The actor had also met several dignitaries, including family friend Amar Singh, while others were waiting for an appointment with him.
