Bawa Colony residents found stealing power
Rs 24 lakh penalty worked out

In the course of massive raids carried out by the enforcement wing of the Punjab State Electricity Board
(PSEB) at Bawa Colony in the Haibowal locality here on Friday, nearly 50 per cent of the people living in the colony were caught stealing power through “kundis”. On the basis of connected load of the defaulting consumers, a penalty of around Rs 24 lakh had been worked out on account of the power theft.

Oriental Bank to open 4 new branches
