New Delhi, September 13
At least 25 persons were killed and over 100 injured this evening when five low-intensity serial bomb blasts rocked three major markets here, in what appeared to be a meticulously planned terrorist attack in the national capital. Two explosions each occurred in Connaught Place and Greater Kailash and one in Gaffar Market in the time span of about half an hour.

‘Modi had forewarned Centre’

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had forewarned the Central Government about possible bomb blasts in Delhi. Leader of Opposition L.K. Advani made this revelation here today at the BJP’s first Vijay Sankalp rally as part of the three-day national executive meeting currently being held here.

Blasts triggered by mobile phones
New Delhi, September 13
The serial bomb blasts that shook the Capital today were meticulously planned and executed, according to highly placed sources in the Delhi police. The bombs were apparently triggered by mobile phones. The authorities jammed mobile telephone network in Connaught Place and most of the major markets of Delhi.

Was today’s blast in Delhi to complete the trilogy - BAD - coined by the SIMI? ‘Operation BAD’ has been decoded as Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi. It is believed a call was allegedly made from Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat to Pakistan by a Hyderabad-based man.
