Jammu curfew lifted but clashes go on
Jammu, July 29
Even as the authorities lifted curfew, the clashes between protesters and the police continued in Jammu today. At the Parade area, protests over the Amarnath land row turned violent in the evening, when angry protesters pelted stones and threw six petrol bombs at the police, which fired around 30 tear gas shells to disperse the mob. One of the protesters was arrested.

18 bombs defused in Surat, 3 in Rajasthan

The recovery of at least 18 bombs here created a wave of panic in the diamond city today, three days after serial blasts rocked Ahmedabad, but the police managed to defuse them. Terror threat also spread to Rajasthan today when three crude bombs of low intensity grade packed in plastic boxes were found on a road in Pali district.
