Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan, at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cm is: Haryana: Narnaul 4, Bhiwani 3 and Hissar 2, Punjab: Abohar 7, Amritsar 5, Halwara 4, Jagraon 3 and Patti, Patiala, Talwandi Sabo, Jalandhar, Phillaur, Zira and Barnala 1 each, East Rajasthan: (3 cm and above) Jamwaraamgarh 10, Chaksu, Didwana and Parvatsar 8 each, Dataramgarh, Sambhar and Todaraisingh 7 each, Mozamabad, Mangalsar, Makrana and Indersingh 6 each, Kishangarhwas, Tonk and Pipalda 5 each, Kishangarh, Ladnu, Nawan, Todabhim, Khandar, Mangrol, Chipaboard and Kishanganj 4 each and Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Viratnagar, Lalsaut, Behror and Piplu 3 each, West Rajasthan: Sajjangarh 5, Churu 4, Sriganganagar, Rajgarh, Hanumangarh and Sadulsahar 2 each and Dungarpur, Shardanagar, Rawatsar, Karanpur and Padampur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Mirzapur F.M. 4 and Mukhlishpur 1, West Uttar Pradesh: Maharanipur 13, Lalitpur 6 and Jhansi 3 and Uttarakhand: Rishikesh 7, Kalagarh 4 and Uttarkashi 2.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were largely below normal in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Haryana and appreciably below normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 39.2C recorded at Nal (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 23: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Decrease in rainfall activity over Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and no large change in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 23: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/thundershowers.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
